Celebrating Victor Mbah, Who is being Honored as the 2023 ANCOR DC DSP of the Year!

We are so excited to be able to publicly celebrate RCM DSP Victor Mbah. Victor is being honored as the 2023 ANCOR DC DSP of the Year! Victor is headed to Chicago next week for the ANCOR conference where he will be presented with this award. Congratulations Victor, you are one of a kind and we appreciate you!

Victor truly embraces the life-changing power of direct support. Victor supported a person who was a returning citizen and had very complex needs. Creating a trusting relationship with this person was one key factor in having a successful transition. Victor learned how to create safe places for those he supports. Victor wholeheartedly cares about this person’s future and his well-being, which are totally different than how this person has been treated by those in his past.

Through Victor’s patient and empathetic approach, he was asked to teach others what he learned. Victor’s interactions have changed the trajectory of how people are supported. With no one blueprint for individualized supports, Victor created his own approach to providing person centered supports that have helped others succeed in meeting their goals. In an example of a ripple effect, Victor’s excellent work has also helped the organization in its capacity to support returning citizens.
