After being ranked No. 24 by U.S. News and World Report, a
jump of 32 places in four years, faculty at the UMass Boston rehabilitation
counseling program at the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development
are excited, and have a lot to be thankful for.
“The most exciting part … is this makes us number one in
New England,” Assistant Professor Dimity Peter said. “We’re really proud of
being number one,” especially against the many good programs in the region.
Peter has a few ideas about why the rankings jumped so
quickly. First, the program is affordable for students, and very
accessible–students can take classes online, in person, or a combination of the
two.
