The Washington Wizards Collaborate With Special Olympics DC for Their Annual 'Spread the Word to End the Word' Awareness Day
For the fourth consecutive year, the Washington Wizards collaborated with Special Olympics DC for their annual “Spread the Word to End the Word” awareness day, aimed at ending the hurtful use of the R-word negatively impacting people with intellectual disabilities. John Wall and and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt served as honorary referees, while Ramon Session and Marcin Gortat coached Team Wildcats and Garrett Temple and Otto Porter coached Team Bullets. DeJuan Blair will serve as the public address announcer for the evening.
