Chagrin Falls – A new restaurant in Chagrin Falls is not
only serving great food, but it’s also preparing young adults with special
needs to join the work force.
“This is our premiere training center, this really is our
classroom where we do job training, job coaching and we place out of here into
partner businesses in the area,” said Shari Hunter, café owner.
The Chagrin Falls cafe is part of a non-profit organization
aimed at providing real-life work experience for people with mild to moderate
special needs.
The café works with people with autism, down syndrome,
epilepsy and even brain injuries.
Shari Hunter’s son Derek works at the café and he says the
program is making a big difference in his life.
